MIMO SAR

MIMO: Multi-input Multi-Output

MIMO SAR uses multiple colocated transmitters and receivers to improve
resolution. Each transmitter and receiver pair is effectively a
separate virtual array element, effectively increasing the number of
looks per chirp. When each look can be combined coherently, this can
improve the resolution of the image.

The signals from each transmitter must be distinguishable so that the
signals can be processed separately.
